The controller with the EyeToy back in 2003.My first experience with Kinect occurred Monday night at a special press event in an unassuming building a fair distance from the convention center. After taking an elevator to the top, we were ushered along low-lit halls past rooms filled with people twisting and waving in front of large flat screens. I grabbed a seat in a room where they were demonstrating an experimental build of Forza, which you'd think--given that series' advanced racing pedigree--would involve some pretty sophisticated arm and leg waving.
Well, you'd think. In fact--to the obvious dismay of others in the room--the Forza team stripped the control interface down to just two hands in the air, held at 10 and 2 o'clock, respectively. Acceleration was automatic as you grasped an imaginary steering wheel and pivoted left or right, racing past other cars for points. The developers explained that they'd tried mapping acceleration to placing one leg forward or backward, but that this confused gamers who started with one leg

I know its already happened... but how do people get into the gaming convention known as E3?... do only certain people get to go?... how does it work?

Who will be attending?
Members of the media, retail, development and financial communities will attend, along with other key industry contacts. Between 3,000 and 4,000 people are expected to attend.
It's obvious that they don't want massive number of gamers rushing onto the show floor and testing their games. They allow people who review games on gamepro.com or other sites to also go to the event.
How long does it take to get to E3 in the army guard ?
I'm going into the Oregon army national guard and I'm just wondering how long it will take to get E3.
You will have it within a year after you enlist and have complete basic and AIT.
It is really up to your CO. I had one, who, once a year,. would say " promote everybody who is an e-2 and eligible for promotion to e-3,.and anyone who is an e-3 and is eligible to e-4." then there were others who got around to it when they got around to it.
It normally requires 10 months time in service and 4 months time as an e-2.

I was wondering the same thing for this year's E3. So I looked at thier website. I recalled that a 'non-press', 'non-presenter' pass was $600 per person for a 3-day pass.

GameSpot and IGN will probably have slow downloads for free membership persons but is there any sites to check out for the latest and fastest downloads of E3 2006 coverage? Download the Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft conferences fast would be great when they have it.
If u waited a month after E3 DVD version of E3 shall be out (gamespot and ign preger gamespot) full coverage lots of video that's what u want, not just some photo and article they usually lack video on web.

My dad switched satellite companies, and sadly that means I can't watch G4's annual E3 coverage because I don't have G4.
So what is the best way to watch E3 2008? Is Spike TV doing something? Or is there some online sites?

Does any one know if you can buy an e3 Lacrosse head that has a traditional pocket in it?
I've never been a fan of mesh & I'm trying to avoid stringing up the pocket myself. The Cyber had a good factory string job in it for a traditional pocket & I'd like to buy an e3 with the same setup. I definitely DO NOT want one of those gay traditional pockets that are just gay (like the pita or rocket pocket). Just an old school traditional pocket in a new school, overpriced lax head.

what is the requirements for early promotion from e3 to e4 in the army?
my husband has 15 months time in service and 5 months time in grade, he is an infantry soldier in an infantry battallion, he got promoted early from e2 to e3, and hasnt had any negative counseling statements, what is the waiver reg?
If I remember correctly, he need 18 months time in service and 6 months time in grade. Unless requirements have changed. I retired from the Army back 2003. I hope this helps. God Speed to your husband.

Scored an 88 on my ASVABS, good health, 19, male.
Well enlisting for 6 years, gets you promoted to E-3 after you graduate basic training.
It will get you promoted to E-4 6 months before those who enlist as an E-1.
The extra money average out to be around 2500 dollars.
On the negative side, if you decide you like the AF and want to reenlist.
It will mean you must wait two more years to reenlist, and alot more jobs pay reenlistment bonus, than initial enlistment bonus's.
But it also gives you a better chance to be an E-5 when you do reenlist, meaning a higher bonus.
It is all up to you, the extra rank is nice, but not all that important.
E-1, E-2 and E-3's are all treated the same in the AF.
But you do have an extra two years yiou have to serve.
