nikon coolpix 2200 transfer built in memory to sd card without using a computer?

how can i take the photos from my cameras built in memory and put them on the sd card without using a computer at all because i do not have a cord to fit the small usb port. i have the nikon coolpix 2200.
AND HOW DO I DO IT.

Yes it can, but actually you should only use the internal memory as reserve since it only holds between 8 and 10 images.

But wait, just use the card reader on your computer or if you don't have one there, buy a $10 USB 2.0 card reader.

Most of us who have been using digital comers for years, switched to that method years ago. It saves a lot of frustration.

is there a way to have a nikon digital camera "coolpix" 2200 fixed for cheap??

i have a nikon digital coolpix camera, 2200, i got it about 3 or 4 yr's ago. i didn't send in a warranty. i don't have the money to buy a new camera. has anyone fixed one for not much money? the prob. is when i turn it on, it turns off immediately. even when i use brand new batteries (i've used tons of them) argh.
i'd really really be so happy / grateful if anyone knows!!!
thank you!!! ;)

it would cost more to get it fixed than to replace it with an equivalent camera. however, they were good little cameras and i know you probably don't want to replace it. good luck finding someone to fix it!

For cheap, no. Fixed, maybe. They might make you get a new one.

Unfortunately, the cost for repairs will be much more than your camera is worth - or a new one will cost. Use it as a paperweight and start saving for a new camera.

Digicams are really disposable items. Use them until they quit and buy a new one.

i have a nikon 2200 coolpix camera and i have no idea how to turn the flash off ?

You're not alone to judge by the hundreds of flashes you seeing going off at sports events round the world. Flash range 3 metres, distance to subject 100 metres, hmm... still, it looks pretty I guess.

Back to your 2200. On the back of your camera there is a 4 way pad which controls the camera. The top one is labelled with a squiggly line. With the camera set to take a picture and the display turned on, just press that top switch. You'll see the flash icon appear on the display.

Each time you press it will step to the next flash mode. Keep pressing until you see an icon of a squiggly line which is crossed out (sort of like the ghost crossed out in Ghostbusters). That is the 'flash off' mode.

does anybody have an owners manual for a nikon coolpix 2200 digital camera?

Check out the website.

I think that is the same camera I had. What do you need help with?

No, but if you post a specific question, maybe we can help you.

Hi, perhaps you can also try google picasa.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.

It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video flips.

It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google

Download it free and just have a try:

Good Luck!

How do you get sound on the nikon coopix 2200 camera?

i have a nikon coolpix camera 2200 and i can take videos but when i upload them there is no sound.

The sound may only be heard if you turn up the volume on your pc speakers.

Digital camera for photography?

I really enjoy doing photography. I have a Nikon Coolpix 2200 and it does okay, but I am interested in getting a nicer digital camera. I don't want one that is too expensive. Any suggestions?

Consumer Reports for November 2006 has ranked the Canon Powershot A620 as the best compact digital camera. It is becoming almost a legend for longevity at the top of various consumer lists. It looks like this model has been replaced by the A630, which I would expect to be just as popular. The A640 appears quite similar and shares the "600" series numbering, so I guess it's just another upgraded version of the now-classic A620. It looks pretty much the same except for being a 10 MP camera.

I own a few Nikon DSLR's and I'd buy the Canon A630 or A640 for myself.

The A620 was rated about twice as good as any as far a battery life. I hope the A630 and A640 are just as good. Use Energizer e2 LITHIUM batteries and you will be happy with battery life.

With this camera, you will find the memory card is a cute little token of thanks from Canon, but not much more. Buy a 1 GB Sandisk Ultra II or Extreme III card. You will NEED the increased capacity and write speed to fully realize the benefits of your camera.

If you want a sleek, smaller camera that will easily fit in your pocket, consider the Canon Powershot SD600. It gives up some of the features of the A630 and 640, but at least it still has an optical viewfinder.

If you want to trim the budget a little, the Canon Powershot A430, A530 or A540, are all great choices. You will need a decent memory card, though. I'd say get at least 512 MB.

Would someone help me change the size of a picture in my digital camera?

I have a Nikon Coolpix S210. I am attempting to e-mail pictures from the camera, but they keep coming out humongous. I tried downloading to my PC first, but I still got the same result. How do I change the size of my picture from 3500 x 2200 to 500 x 500, or at least so it isn't so big that it will barely fit on my computer screen?

You really don't want to do that .. If you ever want to make a print larger that 4x6 inches, you need to use the highest resolution you camera will support.

Then pick out the images you want to email and resize only those to 600 x 400 pixels @ 72 DPI but remember to rename that email file as a different name so you do not overwrite the original I rename my email files by putting an "i" in front of the original file name (DRS_1234 becomes iDRS_1234, thus saving the original file and making the new file obviously Internet ready)

Amateur photography...?

I'm developing a keen interest in photography and am looking for a good camera to start with. I'm reading a lot of great reviews for the new Canon eos digital rebel xt 8mp. Now that camera runs about $700-800 here in B.C. Is it silly to spend that kind of money or should I just stick to my Nikon Coolpix 2200 which I'm still not taking any great pictures with. I'm not going to be going into photography on any professional level but like I said I just really want to have a great camera. Pearls of wisdom are always appreciated!
Thanks!

I think that if you have a sincere interest in photography the best place to start is to not go out an buy an expensive camera, but to go out and buy a book on photography basics. Though you may have a nice camera, if you do not have a basic understanding of how a camera works, basic composition, camera lingo etc... then you will be in the same place where you started with your Nikon Coolpix, and worse you will feel like you have been cheated out of $800.
Another thing, many of your digital cameras are like personal computers these days. Every couple of months a new model comes out making the previous generation obsolete or at least severely devalued. The fact is though that these older digital slr cameras really arent that obsolete, just simply devalued. The good thing about this so called built in obsolecense is the fact that there are lots of good cameras on the used market. I would check KEH.com, for $800 you can get a more professional digital camera than a rebel xt, which although I think it is a good camera, isn't as rugged and durable as your more professional digital cameras. Anyhow below are some links to some books you should look at, I reccomend the first one, but any of the others listed below are just as good. Like I said, learn first buy later, save yourself some grief.

Every time I take a picture it's overexposed and pink?

Even in normal lighting conditions, everytime I try to take a pic everything is bright white and has an ugly bright pink tone. I don't know how this happened. Can someone tell me what might be wrong and how I might be able to fix this? I have a Nikon Coolpix 2200
http://www.nikonusa.com/template.php?cat=1&grp=2&productNr=25519
I've tried lower lighting conditions, with and without flash, different scene modes, and all light that is picked up turns bright white and pink hues.

It sounds like your Digital pictures are overexposed like you say.
That accounts for them being bright white and having pink tones.
It could be that the batteries are bad or even that there is a light leak somewhere causing the overexposure.
Check the settings and make sure they are set for the type of
pictures you're taking.

"Scene Modes with Scene Assist & Auto Setting: Use the Automatic setting for point-and-shoot simplicity or use one of 15 Scene Modes that automatically set the camera for the best exposure in most popular picture-taking situations (sunset, close up, etc.)."
Be sure the camera is set on the "Auto Setting" and then try taking a couple of pictures outside in the bright light and see if the
results get better.

How old is the camera?
Can you take it back where you purchased it and maybe they will exchange it?
If it's happening with "every" shot and you're not even getting any
good ones, then there is a mechanical malfunction somewhere in
the camera's system.
I'd start with the batteries and perhaps replace them.
If you could take it to the nearest photo sales place, someone
could have a look at it and perhaps find something wrong that I
can't determine in this forum.
Good luck!
