Rotating a video taken by Kodak Easyshare Z700?

I was practicing using the video that is part of my Kodak Easyshare. I turned the camera sideways to photograph fireworks. How do I tilt the video so that the images are upright? The Easyshare software says it won't do it.
No. It's not. I don't know how to rotate video. I can rotate digital photos just fine.

this is a joke right?

I don't know but I had the same problem with my P850. I can't help you but I know what you are going through

How To Change The Video Format On Kodak EasyShare Z700 Camera?

When i take video with my EasyShare camera, it automatically saves it to .MOV format. This is an odd format for me. I was told there is a way to change your camera settings where it saves the video as an .AVI. Is this true? and if so, how do i do it? I've looked in the hand book and it doesn't give you details on video formats. Thanks.

Sorry but there is no way to do that. And yes, the MOV format is annoying because it tends to be the least compatible. Some cameras now record in DivX or MPEG4. I recall there are a few models from Pentax and Casio which use those formats.

can i use my kodak easyshare z700 digicam as webcam?

Nope....sucks huh.

Kodak EasyShare Z700 self-timer?

I don't have a tripod, so what are some good flat surfaces that I could put it on that would take a good picture of myself? Also, it seems to be not working.. I put it on ten seconds and it still doesn't take a picture. Help? Thanks.

After you put it on a ten-second timer, a little icon should appear on the information overlay displayed on the LCD. Once you've set the camera to a spot of your liking, press the shutter release to activate the timer. A lamp on the front of the camera should indicate the status of the countdown.

It's hard to say what you can use to improvise since what's available differs from setting to setting. It's also unclear what type of picture you're tying to take of yourself. Look for flat, solid objects around you (shelves, tables, fences, cars, etc.).

I have a easyshare z700 kodak it has no sound on vidoes?

Z700 does not have AUDIO PLAYBACK feature. IT does capture audio but it will not play on your camera

Suggest that you transfer the video to the computer.

yes, it has audio, according to the official site

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.

it can upload/download your camera to your PC.

It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video clips.

you can make your ablum with picasa very easy.

It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google

Canon Powershot A620 or Kodak EasyShare Z700?

why would be nice to...

I have the Canon PS A620. For what I've seen searching info on the Kodak ES Z700. The Canon model has 7.1 mp while the Kodak is 4mp.

They seem to be about the same body size. Beside the mp difference, the LCD screen in the Canon is awesome because you can manipulate the screen's angle to get your shot, and could be closed to protect the screen. Those two alone could be a great reason to choose the Canon A620.

Unfortunately, the A620 is hard to find in the stores, but now is upgraded to the the A630 (8mp) and the A640 (10mp).

Here is the link for the Kodak: http://www.dcresource.com/search.php
(oops. sorry you have to type in Z700 Kodak in the 'search' box).
It doesn't give a review, but a rundown of its specs.

Compare it to the Canon's A620:

Here is for the A630/A640:

Retieving erased memory on my camera?

I accidentaly deleted a few pictures from my camera, and I'd like to know if there's any way to get them back. It's a Kodak Easyshare Z700, if that helps at all.

Thanks

It's no problem at all to get them back. Please see this post for several free software that you can download. You'll need to use a card reader with these programs though:

http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/recovering-those-accidentally-lost.html

Computer can't see memory card in camera. What's the problem?

I am a recent owner of a Kodak EasyShare (Z700) digital camera. I can take 8 to 10 pictures, then I have to download the to the computer or erase them from the camera's memory. I hoped to work around this by getting an SD card for it. Now when I attempt to transfer pictures to my computer, it's like the computer isn't seeing the camera anymore. It was fine until I started using the memory card. My computer is a desktop Dell Dimension XPSt running Windows 98se on an 800 MHZ Pentium III processor and has 256 MB RAM. No printer. What's the problem and what can I do about it? Assume I know nothing about digital photography or my camera's operation (I find the owner's manual extremely confusing).
I don't have a card reader, and if I took the card out, I don't see where it could fit into any "drive". The card is only a very small (about a half inch square) gold colored card.

A card reader will fit an SD card. They can be as complex as a multiple card reader hub, and as simple as a little one card reader. They are cheap, under $10 in some cases and easy to get. You can think of it as an adapter which adapts your card to a more easily read form (usb in most cases). You push your card into a little slot that holds it similar to your camera, and then it has a part that pokes out that goes into your usb port, which is the rectangular box that modern printers and scanners, external hard drives, and just about where every other "addition" to your computer is plugged in. They come in all shapes and sizes, some resemble flash drives, others resemble big hubs. When you plug it in, your computer should recognize it as an external hard drive, and allow you to access it in a similar manor. There you find a folder, sometimes called DIMM. In that your pictures are available and all you need to do is click and drag. I use an sd card for my digital camera, and yes, the card readers fit them fine, just make sure the side with the metal exposed touches the side with the metal exposed of the card reader.

Now the reason I am pushing for you to get a card reader versus anything else is that the most likely reason your computer does not read the memory card is because you are using windows 98. 98 Is an old operating system that came out before flash media was regularly used. Chances are, it just does not offer proper support. You could upgrade to 2000 pro, which will not be beyond your computers abilities, and that could very well fix the issue.

The other option is to install ubuntu. www.unbuntu.com is a website that offers a downloadable operating system (a replacement for windows) Dell.com is so impressed by this operating system that they are including it in some of their commercial computers. You can order a disk for free, which takes a few months to arrive, or you can download it and burn it. You will need a dvd writer to burn it. The latest version is on DVD, but you should be able to get an older version on CD if you do not have a dvd drive. This is a very current up to date operating system that is known for its ease of use, access to tons of free viable productivity software, and relatively undemanding system settings. Your computer can handle it, and it would be a major leap from windows 98 I highly recommend you make, even without the potential for fixing your camera problem.

My rechargeable batteries are not charging.

I have a Kodak EasyShare Z700.
And the rechargeable batteries are not working.

You didn't provide a lot of information, so some my answers might not fit your situation.

1. Is this a new camera? If it doesn't work out of the box then take it back. (Obvious I know, but needs to be said)

2. Your battery pack might be toast. They can refuse to be charged after a period of time, especially if they've been poorly managed or simply charged too many times (most will last for quite a few hundred charges though). There can also be an intertal problem with the pack.

3. The charger might be defective. If you have a voltmeter or know somebody who is geeky enough to have one, check to see if the charger is outputting anything on the output terminals. This is not conclusive though; the output might still not be correct. If there is nothing at all though then this is likely the problem.

4. The camera might be toast.

I would suggest buying another battery pack and trying it. The pack should come already charged somewhat; try it right away to see if the camera works. If it does and you can continue to use the camera after recharging then you know you needed a new pack. Other symptoms should point to the problem too.
