Why is it that every picture I take on my Kodak easyshare v1253 is blurry?

Is there a remedy to my problem?

First thing to do is narrow down the problem.

Make sure all your settings are the factory default settings. Check your manual to see how to do this. There should be an option in the menu somewhere.

Now check the firmware version in your camera. Go to the Kodak site and see if you have the latest firmware version. If not, follow the instructions in your manual or on the website as to how to update your camera. Even if you just bought it, you may not have the latest version.

Check the lens, make sure it's clean.

If not clean it, preferably with a liquid camera cleaner, but you can get away with a window cleaner. Spray it on a paper towel first, then rub with the wet towel. Dry with a dry paper towel.

Next take a photo outside in bright light. - Any better?

If it's still blurry, try putting setting the camera on auto timer, press the shutter and then place the camera on a solid surface.

Repeat this indoors with the flash on.

These simple tests will tell you if it's a problem with the camera or the photographer.

Good Luck!

because your too damn dumb to work your kodak easyshare.

my first digital was a kodak easyshare and it did the same thing to me.

I called Kodak's customer service center and was told that I would have to send it in for repair, which would cost about as much as the camera was now worth.

That was the last Kodak I will ever own.

maybe the flash is not turned on.

use your auto zoom function. or auto mode or whatever. Also be sure to hold button down halfway until autozoom engages , then take picture. Kodak's are pretty nice and(usually) very easy to use.

If it's on automatic settings, and the room is too dull, it'll change the settings to open the shutter for longer, which will make the picture blurr more easily. You can either change the settings, or you can turn on the flash.

What do everyone think on a Casio EXILIM 10.1MP Digital Camera, or Kodak EASYSHARE V1253?

i really need some help on deciding on a camera for christmas, i would really like a camera that would last me for while, and would give me great pictures. I have recently have had a Kodak and thinking about gettin another brand other than Kodak........please help me

All of the major brands are good. Choose a brand that appeals to you. Then you have to think about getting a spare battery, what size memory card, if you want an extended warranty, how much you can afford, what size zoom, if you want manual controls, the size of the camera, finding a reliable place to purchase it, and the list goes on and on and on.......

The first thing to realize is that almost any digital camera will take good pictures. If more people would read the manual more than once, they would be able to take better pictures. Usually, the person assumes it is the camera when it could be them not knowing exactly what to do. Just give yourself more photographic knowledge by doing more reading on the internet.

I really believe buying a camera is an individual choice.
The person needs to read alot of reviews on cameras so they can decide on the features that they really want and need.
Go to the store and hold them so you can see if they feel comfortable in your hands. If possible, take some pictures in the store to check the quality of the pictures.
I can only give a suggestion of what to look for in a new digital camera.
Good Luck

my suggestion
go to yahoo shopping
digital cameras
digital camera GUIDE
be sure to check titles on the left side
the guide should answer your questions

My Kodak v1253 EasyShare camera lens is dirty, and it's blurry on one side. What can I do to clean it?

Kodak EasyShare V1253?

I am looking at getting a digital camera and I wondered what you all thought about the Kodak EasyShare V1253. I want a decent camera that takes high quality pictures for uploading to my deviantART (online art gallery.) Thanks!

Also, how is the battery life?

I have had my V1253 for a full month now. I'm honestly very impressed. For a battery that is only about double the depth of an SD card, and just slightly longer, it last an amazingly long amount of time. I believe I took around 200 pictures on one charge, and there was still some 'room to spare'. At 9MP it takes great quality 16:9 HD pictures.

One thing I was even more impressed with than just the pictures, is the video. You can zoom and it still autofocuses. With a large enough SD card, you don't need to worry about how long you are recording for. It's almost a replacement for a DigiCam (unless you need a real HD Digital Camera).

When I went looking for my camera, I was looking for a combo Camera/Camcorder. This ended up being a pretty solid response to those needs! Though when doing the camera thing, the battery doesn't last nearly as long as I might like. Good luck!

i recomend it i has a huge screen, 12 Megapixles, and image stabilazation. for this price its a really good camera.

i just bought this camera like 1 month ago, its great, great pictures and quality, large screen, i love it!! I really recommend it! :)

kodak easyshare V1253 or canon ixus 860IS?

kodak easyshare V1253 or canon ixus 860IS? What camera should i buy, i know that the more megapixel, the more noise, and i hate noise.

But kodak has a nice video mode, 720p. If i would lessen the megapixel on the kodak would i get good images? I have panasonic TZ1 now, but it's crap, crap crap, noisy images, and even outside the images look like some sort of crapy webcam picture.

I know canon has a really good image quality.

always canon is your best choise..

What memory card should I get for my digital camera?

Is a 1G good enough? 2G? 4G?
We usually delete all of the pics on our camera after we download them to our computer. At any given time we might have about 150 pictures on the camera. We also want to be able to take videos with the camera--maybe 15 minutes total. (like I said, we generally download the pics & videos to our computer frequently and then delete them from the camera)

I have a Kodak EasyShare V1253. It is12 megapixels if that makes any difference as to what size the memory card should be.

Thanks!

I think a 2G will work for you. I got a camera for Christmas(gift to myself) and as a bonus a 2G memory card was included. Since you delete the pics frequently, a 2G should be sufficient. Merry Christmas!

Kodak V1253 or Canon SD 1000?? most reliable for everyday use?

Because I'm plaining to get the Kodak V1253 EasyShare. Or the Canon 1000 which on is the best.. I want real info like from people who actually have one.

I'd actually like to recommend a better camera that's cheaper than the cannon and a little pricier than the Kodak.

The megapixel count doesn't really matter when you get to a certain amount. I've seen amazing pictures on a 5mp.

The zoom on both of those cameras is not that great.

My recommendation:
The Kodak z712 IS. It's what I have, and it's awesome. The Kodak colorchip makes the camera worth it as it is. It makes the pictures pop, unlike most cameras I've used. Plus, with a 2gb sd memory card, I can take a little over 900 pictures. AND it has a 12x optical zoom, which really comes in handy.

If you refuse to look into it and will only take what you've picked out up there, get the Kodak, reguardless. They're awesome cameras.

Go to google. Look up the model of the camera plus pictures. You'll see pictures people have taken with the cameras, and be able to see for yourself the big difference.

Good luck!
