How do I e-mail pictures from my Kodak EasyShare V1233?

I'm on vacation right now and would love to e-mail some pictures to my parents back home from my Kodak V1233 EasyShare Camera. I don't have access to the internet so I need to find out how to email straight from the camera. (Lol just in case you're wondering, i'm typing this from my sidekick!) Please help me! Thanks!

Ah, you can't. Cameras aren't also Cell Phones and you have to have access to the internet to send them. You would have to get it to your Sidekick and then maybe you could figure out how to send it from there.

Go to Kodak.com and download their easyshare software. Then when you conect to your computer chose easyshare to display your pictures. If you need info just go to Kodak.com and they can help;

okay, plug the camera into the usb cord when its plugged into computer and it should upload automatically.

Why is the Kodak V1233 easyshare camera so cheap compared to its comparables?

- No mechanical image stabilizer, either lens-shift or CCD-shift.
- Slow writing-to-card performance.
- Poor optical quality, Schneider-Kreuznach lens or not.
- Slow, f/3.4 - f/5.3 lens
- No optical viewfinder.
- Unreliable exposure metering engine.
- A bit too aggressive internal noise reduction processing.
- No JPEG compression levels (and the only one available is too high).


On the other hand, it really isn't that bad, for its price; and the above average ISO performance (despite internal processing, the sensor is still a 1/1.72" CCD, quite larger than the usual 1/2.5") and true HD video recording (1280 x 720 at 30 fps) still make it an interesting camera.

Hey

I strongly advise that you don't get this camera. Although most of the reviews are " so-so ", some of them are really bad, here's the link to some real bad opinions about the v1233 camera:

Anyone have the Kodak Easyshare V1233 digital camera?
I'm considering getting one and would love any reviews, notes of flaws/vices, good features, etc.

If you don't have the V1233, but know something about digital cameras, does it look alright?

I just bought a Kodak EasyShare V1233.?

I just bought the camera above and I am not happy with it. I still have an old 2 mega pixels camera that actually give better photos, more detailed and stuff. Why is the quality of the pictures in this camera soo bad? Is it just that I need to configure it correctly?

I have a v1253.it is great...........I gave a v1003 to a kid..she loves it................
The info is on the chip(sd card).....................did you get a good chip?
Send it back,,,,,they take great piks outside,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
none take great piks indoors..................
also,,,check your settings..................

It's ok... for its price. The ISO performance is not bad (it can't be, using a 1/1.7" sensor), but the downside is optical quality (visible barrel distortion, corner sharpness falloff, chromatic aberrations) and average shooting/focusing performance.

My point is: there are definitely better pocketable, 12 megapixel point & shoot cameras out there... but they cost more.

If you want something in that price range with somewhat better overall functionality and quality, try the Fujifilm F40fd.

I have this camera and I've had it for a month now and it was working fine until just now when I tried to put pictures on the computer it won't work. I hooked up the cord to the computer and my camera like normal and the charging light came on normally and when I turned it on nothing happened. It didn't upload anything what is the problem?
Everything is right but nothing is happening. About the Easyshare thing. It's really really slow, and when the pictures do upload it takes like an hour to get them on. Can I do something to where I don't have to have that? Or something?

Do not put that Easyshare disc into your computer. They download things to run without your knowledge, and load up extra stuff in your 'C' drive. It took me a long time to figure out how to get their program out of my computer. My Vista has a photo gallery that works perfectly.

Are you connecting it up correctly. Of course the small end goes into the only plug it can fit, then the other goes into the USB plug in your computer. Kind of looks like a spear. Make sure you turn the camera on, and your batteries are up.

seems like the camera is not reading the card. It keeps telling me the internal memory is full. I have switched the camera to auto and it says I have 533 pictures left to take, but if I take more than 3 pictures it will not allow me to take anymore. I have read the card on my computer and it's fine.
I have even formated the card and nothing. I have hardly used it and can not seem to fix it. Help!
Ther was a switch on the card. I swithced it and the camera told me memory card locked insert new card. Thanks anyway.
