trying to import videos from Kodak Easyshare C613 camera to WindowsMovieMaker but are invalid.help convert?

I am trying to import videos i took with my new Kodak Easyshare c613 camera to WindowsMovieMaker but they are showing up as invalid (they are .avi files) . ive tried downloading programs to convert these files to .wmv but nothing works. these videos are important for a show i post on youtube but they wont upload! please help me to convert these files!

As you may convert AVI to WMV which can edit in WindowsMovieMaker. And for youtube, it always support WMV and MPEG4 files.

I aways use Daniusoft Video Converter to convert video formats as I want. It could convert any popular video formats: AVI to MP4, AVI to WMV, WMV to MP4 with Crop/ trim/ effect functions. Also it let you adjust settings to control the file size.

You can free download it here to have a try:

My windows xp is not uploading Kodak easyshare C613 software on computer?

The cd that came with the camera is not uploading on my computer. The software is Kodak EasyShare C613. Can anyone plllleeeeaaassseee give me helpful information??

if u r downloading it from CD .... than firrst copy the content of CD to a new folder in C: and then try installing from there.... this also happened with me..

Try downloading an updated version directly from kodak site, had the same problem with my CD

Tried downloading to a folder, but one off the files was corrupt, and would not finish the installation

Sometimes scratches on the CD-Rom will prevent the drive from reading installation files while spinning.

Copy the contents of the CD in a folder that you create on your desktop.
Then run the installation from within that folder. If you had no problems installing from there then copy the folder on a blank disk for backup. This usually works when you encounter a defective CD-Rom disk.

Does anyone know how to transfer videos from a Kodak Easyshare C613 camera to a laptop?

Just got this new camera for my birthday, and transferring pictures over is easy enough, but I can't work out how to transfer videos over. Does it involve buying a piece of software? I'm new to the whole digital camera thing.

Just buy a card reader (under $10) and transfer all your images at once to your computer using your computer skills.

There should have been some kind of video software that came with your camera. Install it and then you can import your video files with it, but in the end the card reader will solve a lot of problems ... especially the one when your cameras battery dies mid transfer of your files.

the videos transfer with the pics
then you have to download quick time player to see them

Why does using the flash on my kodak easyshare c613 camera in low light situations give darker pictures?

I get better pictures by turning the flash off. I'm talking about anything indoors, and pictures taken around dusk outdoors. Am I doing something wrong?

The built in flash on your camera is very weak. It can properly illuminate a subject within 2 meters of camera (that's 6.5ft). Therefore if your subject is farther away than that, it will not be properly illuminated.

But even if your main subject (say a person) is well within the flash range - the rest of the room isn't. So the main subject may be illuminated properly, the overall impression will be dark.

When you photograph without flash - camera uses longer shutter speed to expose the entire scene correctly. The drawback is a chance for motion blur, if you move your camera during the exposition. If you do have steady hands or a tripod though, you should get a better result in somewhat dim conditions.

Another possibility - a person in front of the dark scene (say city skyline). Some cameras have modes for front-curtain and rear-curtain synchronization. Check your manual if your camera has it. It will then expose correctly for the city scene, but will also fire a flash to highlight the person up front. If it's first curtain (most common) the flash will fire as soon as shutter opens. If it's rear curtain (used for specific effects on moving objects) the flash will fire just before closing the shutter.

Hope this will help you,
LEM.

how do i get rid of lens error 115,0,0,216 on my kodak easyshare c613?

i have had a kodak c613 for less than 2 wks and already not working. i did drop it, but literally only just a small amount, i was bending over at the time.. does anyone know how to fix this without sending it away? it switches on, it clicks as if the lens is trying to extend, then the error msg and it switches off. grrrrr!!!! thanks x

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension.

Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try:

is this normal for my kodak easyshare C613?

when i hook it up to my computer and i turn it on, the shutter thing doesnt open and the screen stays black. if its on before i hook it up, the screen turns black the second the usb cables in the computer. is this normal and if it is not, what should i do?

Yes that's completely normal. It's funny because I asked myself that same question. The reason that the screen is black is because it is loading and transferring data. When it turns black it's conserving memory in order to get the right details over to your computer. If the screen was on, multiple, various actions may happen that may jeopardize the saved data. It's just concentrating. So do not fear.
