I have a Canon PowerShot A30 and a Fujifilm FinePix S5600. is there a specific tripod i should use?
Any tripod will do. Manfrotto and Gitzo make the best tripods... but they are a lot more expensive since they are at the professional level. If you can afford it, get one that is made out of carbon fiber... they are light and sturdy. Do not get one that is made out of alluminum... if the wind is strong enough, they will blow over!
My Cannon PowerShot A30 will not show images...
When I turn the camera on to take a picture the screen is black. It takes a picture when you press the button and the flash will go but you can't see how the picture will look until after you've taken it. What's up?
Most likely there is a setting in the menu which will allow you to set whether or not you see the picture on the LCD screen. If that is set correctly then it may be that your battery is low and the camera automatically saves power by disabling the preview function.
If you still have problems then you can post on the forums of istockphoto.com or you can find the Cannon customer service number in the manual that came with the camera. If you are not able to do either of those then just visit your nearest camera shop and ask for help.
